The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Will Sneak Onto Vita This June

Two of Snake's best missions will be going portable this June, which is when Konami will release the Vita version of its Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. An exact date has not been announced, although both Gamestop and Amazon are listing June 12 on their websites. Then again, that may not be correct.

Two of Snake’s best missions will be going portable this June, which is when Konami will release the Vita version of its Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. An exact date has not been announced, although both Gamestop and Amazon are listing June 12 on their websites. Then again, that may not be correct.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will make its portable debut with a duet of PlayStation 2 classics: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Peace Walker has been omitted, but that’s surely because the game is already available for the PlayStation Portable.

From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection includes two beloved classics, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty and METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater. Featuring stunning, upgraded graphics from the original releases on the PlayStation®2, both titles include Transfarring, where players can transfer save data from their PlayStation®3 METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection to their PlayStation®Vita system and start the action from where they left off.

METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection for the PlayStation®Vita allows fans to experience the series like never before with optimized controls that take full advantage of the Vita’s unique touch-screen and rear touchpad. Using just their fingers, gamers can zoom in on captivating cut-scenes, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items, as well as perform quick attacks with their knife.
