‘No compromises’: Marjorie Taylor Greene says she’s fighting tooth and nail to make sure nobody gets health care or clean energy

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has again spoken out against a new government funding bill.

Greene said the American people did not vote for another “big, bloated omnibus bill.” She said she would continue to push for former President Donald Trump’s agenda and made it clear that she does not support parts of the current bill being discussed in the Senate.

Greene said that she stands “100 percent” with the people who are against the bill. She explained that the bill would not deliver the promises that were made during the last election. Greene raised concerns about some provisions in the bill being removed in the Senate, including those related to ending sex change surgeries for children, cutting Green New Deal programs, and stopping Medicaid or Medicare funding for undocumented immigrants.

She called the bill unacceptable and added that the House should not support it unless it includes Trump’s key policies. Most Republicans in the House agree with her position and will not support funding programs they believe go against Trump’s agenda.

Greene pushes back on bill that removes key Trump-era policies

Greene talked in detail about several issues that she believes are being ignored in the current bill. One of them is her bill called the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” which seeks to make sex change surgeries on minors a felony. She said it already passed through the Judiciary Committee and is now waiting for a full vote in the House. Greene stressed that removing funding for such procedures is an order from Trump and part of what people voted for.

She also spoke against giving government health care benefits like Medicaid or Medicare to undocumented immigrants. She said this part of the bill is also not acceptable to her and many others in the House. In addition, she criticized tax credits linked to the Green New Deal and called them “scams” that must be removed.

Greene strongly opposed a 10-year block on states making laws about artificial intelligence. This rule should not be part of the bill either. State rights would be harmed if such a moratorium is passed. Greene noted that she was the first Republican to speak out on the issue and now has support from 40 state attorneys general, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and others.

She ended her message by saying that she and others are still fighting to pass Trump’s agenda. They will not stop working in Washington until they deliver what voters were promised.
