Robot Entertainment, a developer comprised of some of the brightest minds from Ensemble Studios, has released new gameplay videos for their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade and PC title, Orcs Must Die!

For those of you who haven’t heard of the game (shame on you,) Orcs Must Die! is a tower defense action and strategy game where players must set traps in the hopes of taking out waves of enemies before they reach a portal housed within your fortress. This includes foes of both aerial and ground-based varieties. Players can set up everything from explosive barrels and arrow-shooting walls to spring boards and tar to help make the defense of the fortress a little bit easier. Of course, they can also use genre staples such as magic, arrows and other powerful weaponry.

The new gameplay videos give a glimpse at how many of the traps work. Gamers can choose which trap they would like to see next at the end of each video.

While these videos do give gamers a look at how the traps work and the pace at which the game moves, they still don’t do the game justice as the addictiveness of the game is hard to describe. When we had the opportunity to play the game at E3 earlier this year, it was easily one of the most entertaining titles of the show and I personally am looking forward to playing more when it releases.

Gamers can expect to see Orcs Must Die! on Xbox Live Arcade and for digital download on PC this October.
