Comic-Con was great to gamers and it’s still giving us presents even though its doors have shut for another year. This time, it’s in the form of a new Soul Calibur 5 trailer from Namco-Bandai, which shows off some new and familiar faces, all battling it out for their cause.

This new trailer is very heavy on gameplay, though it also has a bit of a story element to it. There’s tons of footage showcasing acrobatic slice and dice gameplay, using different weapons although swords play a heavy role. Some of the combat is downright magical, in addition to being more acrobatic in nature than in the past.

Take a look below and let us know what you think of the new additions to the series, as well as this fast-paced gameplay footage. I must say that I’m pretty impressed and this is definitely shaping up to be a worthy fighting game. Can it take the crown from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 though? What do you think?
