‘This is just a huge win for us,’ says Bunnie Xo as she and Jelly Roll celebrate a major IVF milestone after 5 months

Five months of hope.

According to People, in the short video clip, Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, can be seen getting emotional while taking the call. She explained that this moment came after five months of waiting since starting their IVF journey.

“When you just got the call you’ve been waiting on for 5 months since this IVF journey started,” she wrote in her post. “All the tears, the hopelessness and the struggle, God finally said, ‘Here.'” While clarifying in the comments, she added, “This is not a pregnancy announcement, we won’t announce that. This is just a huge win for us.”

A couple shares their ongoing IVF journey with fans

The couple has been open about their fertility journey since last June, when they first announced their plans to undergo IVF treatment. Bunnie Xo, who is already a stepmom to Jelly Roll’s two children, Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 7, has been sharing regular updates about her experience. The family has been through challenges together, including Bailee Ann’s difficult early years.

In March, she posted a TikTok video describing her current situation with IVF treatments. She spoke about going through hormones, shots, and emotional ups and downs, expressing her desire to have a child that would be a combination of herself and her husband.

Jelly Roll has also shown his commitment to their family planning journey. The singer has been open about his health transformation, including his detailed weight loss journey and battles with addiction. During an appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, he revealed that he had lost more than 60 pounds. His motivation was to ensure he would live longer to see his children grow up, including any future additions to their family.

The couple initially planned to keep their IVF journey private, but later decided to share it publicly. Bunnie Xo explained this decision on Instagram, saying they chose to be open because they’ve always been transparent with their fans. They are hoping to welcome what they’re calling “Baby DeFord” by 2026, despite acknowledging the challenges ahead in their fertility journey.
