Yikes, Donald Trump really asked DeSantis what it’s like to date Marjorie Taylor Greene, as if anyone wants to imagine

…and somewhere a Bald Eagle dropped dead.

President Donald Trump created an awkward moment during a visit to Florida on Tuesday when he asked Governor Ron DeSantis about dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. The uncomfortable exchange happened right in front of Greene’s boyfriend, making the situation even more strange.

Trump was visiting his administration’s new “Alligator Alcatraz” migration detention center in the Everglades when he came across Brian Glenn. Glenn works for Real America’s Voice and is currently dating the Georgia congresswoman. The president decided to introduce Glenn to DeSantis during their meeting.

Trump told DeSantis that Glenn was “the boyfriend, very lucky, of Marjorie Taylor Greene.” After making the introduction, Trump then asked the Florida governor a question that many would find uncomfortable. “Do you think it’s easy being with Marjorie?” Trump asked DeSantis directly. The question came across as inappropriate, especially since Glenn was standing right there listening to the whole conversation.

DeSantis laughs off Trump’s awkward question about Greene

DeSantis handled the awkward moment by laughing off Trump’s question rather than giving a real answer. The Florida governor did not take the bait and respond seriously to what Trump was asking, much like when the POTUS previously lashed out at DeSantis on social media. After the uncomfortable exchange, both Trump and DeSantis moved on to other topics during their visit to the detention facility.

Glenn later shared a video of the entire moment on X, which used to be called Twitter. He wrote about Trump’s question, saying, “I’m not going to answer that… kidding.” Glenn seemed to take the whole thing in good humor rather than getting upset about it. Both Glenn and Greene are known to be strong supporters of Trump and his policies, though Greene’s controversial statements have often made headlines.

The Real America’s Voice host then defended his girlfriend in his social media post. Glenn wrote that Greene “is a joy to be with and I love her with all my heart.” He appeared to want to set the record straight about their relationship after Trump’s comment. Greene herself saw her boyfriend’s post and shared it on her own X account, adding a smiling face with hearts emoji to show she was not bothered by the situation. The whole incident shows how Trump often makes personal comments that can create uncomfortable moments, even with his own political allies.
