House Judiciary Democrats release a new report, and it comes with a serious allegation against Trump from a former Miss Switzerland

The alleged incident took place in 1993.

A report released on Monday by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee includes an allegation from Beatrice Keul, a former Miss Switzerland. She told Democratic staffers that President Donald Trump raped her in a New York hotel suite in November 1993 while she was in the country for a pageant. The accusation has not been independently verified, and the White House has rejected it.

Keul was 24 at the time, according to the report. She said the alleged incident followed a meeting with Trump and his then-associate Jeffrey Epstein at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned then. The encounter began at a press luncheon tied to the American Dream Pageant.

During that luncheon conversation, which lasted at least 15 minutes, Trump told Keul he would help arrange a visa for her, the report states. He said that ‘Paolo ’- a reference to Paolo Zampolli – would ‘take care of that.’ He also said he would personally ensure her acceptance into New York University and repeatedly offered to handle her arrangements, insisting either ‘I will take care of you’ or, when she said she could manage her own visa, ‘No no, my friend Paolo will take care of that.’

Account of the alleged assault and surrounding events from Keul

Right after the conversation with Trump, Epstein approached Keul and introduced himself as “Don’s best friend,” she told the staffers. He indicated she would be taken care of and said, “Flights, accommodations, you don’t have to worry about anything,” according to the 50-page report released by the House Judiciary Democrats.

Later the same day, a representative of Trump invited Keul upstairs at the Plaza Hotel for another meeting with him. She agreed and went with the representative, viewing it as a possible opportunity for her career and education. The report says the representative brought her into the suite, where Trump grabbed her from behind and forcibly raped her. The assault tore her dress and left her with bleeding and bruising in multiple places. Keul described the rape as “brutal.”

Afterward, according to what Keul reported, Trump sat her on the edge of the bed. He restated his promises about arranging a visa and NYU admission and required her to stay quiet, saying, “[T]he show must go on.” Keul said she completed the rest of the pageant in a terrified “daze.” Her passport had been taken upon her arrival, and she did not request it back before the contest finished out of concern that doing so would signal a problem to Trump.

She was also called, along with four other models, to a private audition with John Casablancas during the pageant. He had her walk for him and made comparable promises about looking after her. Keul returned to Switzerland and declined an invitation to another Trump-sponsored pageant in Hawaii a few weeks later. Several months after the alleged assault, Trump called her in Switzerland and again offered to arrange a visa and NYU admission. She declined the offer.

The report notes that multiple witnesses said Trump showed interest in meeting an 18-year-old Czech contestant named Terezie, who was staying with Trump’s then-wife, Ivana Trump. “Terezie informed Keul that Terezie would win the pageant due to her closeness with Donald Trump and stated that she intended to marry him,” the report stated.

In a related 1997 sexual assault lawsuit against Trump, Jill Harth, the contest organizer, claimed that on or around November 20, 1993, Trump demanded she provide him ‘with access to a 17-year-old [sic] contestant from Czechoslovakia, who was a contestant in the ‘Calendar Girl’ competition, whom Trump referred to as a ‘sex object.’ The report said this description largely matches Terezie, and the final day of that Calendar Girl competition was November 20, 1993.

The same report also contains accusations from four other women who had previously come forward with claims of sexual assault against Trump. Separately, a civil jury in 2023 found Trump liable for sexually assaulting writer E. Jean Carroll in a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s and for defaming her. In May of this year, the Department of Justice began an investigation into Carroll.

According to Mediaite, the White House responded by calling the report “nothing more than a desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum driven by President Trump’s historic achievements.” Officials also said Trump has been “fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein.”
