Idaho woman threw food at restaurant workers on video and on the way out her partner made a racist comment about Mexicans: ‘Don’t ever come back’

They were allegedly charged.

A takeout dispute in Pocatello has ended with criminal charges against an Idaho couple. The woman faces charges of misdemeanor assault and battery after allegedly throwing food at restaurant workers during an argument, according to The Nerd Stash. The incident, which an employee caught on camera, reportedly began when the couple was dissatisfied with their meal.

Employees at Mandarin House told the outlet that the Idaho couple returned after picking up a $60 meal and demanded a refund. Staff members reportedly offered a partial refund and a gift card. However, the pair appears to have refused the offer, and employees called police after the couple allegedly threw a box of food at them.

The video shows the couple arguing with staff members about the quality of the food. The woman told the employees, “That’s not how you serve food.” She then told the workers to “shut your mouth,” repeated the demand, and insisted on a refund. The Idaho couple is scheduled to appear in court on November 19, according to Local News 8.

The couple apparently never even ate the food they were so angry about

Her partner joined in, asking, “What’s that garbage?” He also claimed, “Your food is horrible, dude.” The man mentioned that they had traveled throughout Asia and knew what Asian food was like, while the woman described the food as “soggy.” The Idaho couple also insisted they had not eaten the meal.

Moments earlier, the restaurant’s manager can be heard saying he had offered the woman $30 out of his own pocket. The situation escalated when a sound like a hit was heard in the restaurant. The noise made the employee filming turn the camera toward the couple. Another staff member reacted in disbelief and said, “Oh my gosh.”

Once the camera focused on them, the woman appeared to begin throwing food at the employees. An employee told the pair they needed to leave as the situation had apparently turned physical, but the woman seemingly ignored the request. The footage then appears to show her grabbing more food and throwing it at the workers again.

As the Idaho couple finally started to leave the building, the man can be heard making a racist remark at restaurant staff. He said, “That’s what happens when you have a bunch of Mexicans,” and he appeared to repeat the comment twice. Their behavior led another employee to tell them to leave and escort them out.

As staff removed them, one employee said, “Don’t ever come back.” Another worker asked, “Who does that?” The video ended with staff cleaning up the food mess the couple left behind, and it has since spread across local Facebook groups after the restaurant shared it online.
