In stunning admission Donald Trump now claims he predicted 9/11 would happen a year before the attacks took place

Donald Trump thinks he's the next Nostradamus.

We can now add seer to the apparent abilities Donald Trump claims he has after the president told reporters that he predicted 9/11 a full year before it happened. He also claimed that he tried to warn others about the imminent attack at the time.

Speaking at the Trump Kennedy Center, Donald spoke about how he predicted that Iran would use the Strait of Hormuz as a strategic weapon. He previously claimed that the U.S. and other countries would be sending war ships to keep the strait “open and safe.” Anyways, the president then went off on a tangent, bragging about his ability to predict things including the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center.

“I predicted all of this stuff,” Trump claimed, “I predicted Osama bin Laden would knock out the World Trade Center. I made that prediction a year before he did. I said you’d better get him. He’s a bad guy.”

Now that’s a pretty bold claim. But is there any truth whatsoever to the president’s words? He’s a compulsive liar after all so forgive us if we don’t take what he’s saying at face value.

Did Donald Trump really predict 9/11?

The claim hasn’t come out of nowhere, in fact, Trump even references his source as he says, “I wrote it in a book.” Well if that’s the case then his claim should be pretty easy to fact check and luckily for us, somebody already has.

According to ndtv.com the book Trump was likely referencing was The America We Deserve, a book published roughly one year before the attacks. So did he actually say anything about Osama Bin Laden attacking the WTC in his book? The answer is a resounding no. Although he did mention Bin Laden it’s only brief.

“One day we’re told that a shadowy figure with no fixed address named Osama bin Laden is public enemy Number One, and US jetfighters lay waste to his camp in Afghanistan. He escapes back under some rock, and a few news cycles later, it’s on to a new enemy and new crisis.”

In another part of the book he expressed fears of a terrorist attack on the U.S. “that will make the bombing of the Trade Centre look like kids playing with firecrackers.” The bombing he’s referencing is the 1993 bombing of the WTC, but he doesn’t predict any future attacks on the buildings.

He does predict a large-scale terrorist attack but the details such as it being a hijacking and Osama Bin Laden being responsible aren’t in there. This is just another example of Trump exaggerating the truth to make himself seem smarter than he really is.
