Trump praises Nicki Minaj’s backside at Michigan rally, and tells her to stand up mid-story about another Senator’s rear: ‘That’s hard to miss!’

He was explaining his previous comments about Jon Husted’s derrière.

At a Sunday rally in Michigan, President Donald Trump paused during a story about Ohio Senator Jon Husted and turned his attention to rapper Nicki Minaj in the crowd. He called out to her by name and asked her to stand while commenting on her appearance, according to Mediaite.

Trump had appeared to just finished noting that he invited Husted to speak and that the senator did a good job. He then stepped away from the podium for a moment, gestured toward the audience, and returned to continue. He said he had recently learned Husted was a strong athlete who had been a tough tackler in football.

Trump explained that he prefers watching the game rather than playing it himself because he did not enjoy being tackled by large people. While looking Husted over, he said he made a remark in fun. He stated, “I looked at his a–, and I’ve never done that with a man before, it’s true,” according to the outlet. He added that the observation applied to women but not men in the past.

Trump then addressed Minaj directly from the stage. He said, “By the way I looked at one hell of a beautiful *ss before, Nicki Minaj! That’s hard to miss! Stand up! That’s hard to miss!” The crowd responded with loud cheers after the call for her to stand.

He quickly returned to the original story and said, “Okay I’m going back to my story.” Trump added, “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time.”

Trump described examining Husted’s body while the senator spoke. He noted that Husted’s feet were massive and that his fingers looked like sausages, though he said his own hands were not bad by comparison. He said he observed the strength in Husted’s neck and then patted him on the shoulder, only to hurt his hand because it felt like striking a piece of steel. Trump remarked, “This guy is much different.”

He also recalled saying that Husted’s rear “was like a big piece of muscle.” Trump said the press focused on that line and did not include the full context of the football background he had just discovered. He claimed they questioned why he was talking about a man’s rear and left out the athletic details that led to the comment.

Trump presented the exchange as an example of incomplete coverage. He said the media did not explain the football discussion that preceded his remark about Husted. He concluded that this is why they are the fake news. His rally storytelling has left crowds puzzled before, including a bizarre story about a swimming giant.
