A TikTok user who posts as TheLovettGang (@thelovettgang) said she needed help getting herself and her daughter home after a dispute with Frontier Airlines staff. In her caption, she wrote that she “wasn’t even being disrespectful” and that she “was quietly crying.” She said a woman then told a man that she was being “disrespectful and disorderly.”
The video posted with that caption shows a distressed passenger speaking near the front of an aircraft. On-screen text in the clip claimed the airline refused to let her fly and kicked her off “BECAUSE I WAS CRYING!!!!!” The same overlay called the company “SO RACIST!” The poster also asked, “What should I do??”
In the caption, she added that she was “so heartbroken right now” and wrote, “it’s so hard being black in America.” She said she paid for her ticket and did not understand why she could not get on the plane.
Video shows the passenger speaking with staff as she is walked off the aircraft
The clip appears to begin inside the plane, looking down an aisle toward the front. The passenger, wearing a green shirt and black pants, is heard crying and saying, “Disrespect you, bro. I just- I’m just crying. That’s, that’s not disrespectful.” A flight attendant in a grey uniform is visible near the galley.
She continued, “That’s not being disrespectful. How much money? I don’t- wait, I can’t cry. What do you mean? I didn’t even do nothing. I’m just crying.” A male ground staff member in an orange high-visibility vest over a green shirt then approaches her, holding what appears to be a document or tablet.
Standing near that staff member, she said, “They’re saying I can’t get on the plane cuz I’m crying.” The camera then shows the ground staff member and another flight attendant in a black and blue uniform who is wearing a mask.
She repeated, “I’m crying because I didn’t even do nothing, bro. I can’t get on the plane cuz I’m crying. Frontier Airlines is not letting me on a plane cuz I’m crying. This is crazy.” Frontier Airlines has faced other passenger complaints, such as when a Georgia deaf woman says she was kicked off a flight despite having accommodations on her ticket.
She asked, “Why do I have to wait over here? Why can’t I get on the plane? I paid for my ticket.” The staff members are seen listening as the flight attendant gestures slightly. She then said, “I’m, I’m done. I’m not even crying,” appearing to try to compose herself.
The video ends with the ground staff member escorting her off the plane as she steps down from the aircraft door. She continues to cry quietly as she exits.
According to CheapAir, airlines can remove passengers for reasons that include non-compliance with crew instructions and disruptive behavior. The site said crew members are responsible for passenger safety and that ignoring directions can lead to removal. It also pointed to FAA rules, including Section 44902(b), which it described as giving pilots broad authority to remove passengers they deem a threat to safety. For Frontier Airlines, the complaints don’t stop at crew disputes, as a separate story details passengers being bumped from flights.
Viewers reacted to the clip in the comments. One person wrote that they had cried hard on a plane themselves and called the situation “wild af.” Another said the scene “makes no d**n sense” and added, “Def file a lawsuit.”
A third commenter said, “That’s not even racist but they were wrong it was ways to handle that.” Someone else asked whether people cannot have a bad day. Another commenter said Frontier is inconvenient, has “terrible customer service and support,” and “will ALWAYS be my last option.”
