A TikTok user who posts as Joseph (@soapymonsta7) said he went to an open house in his neighborhood and started filming after he claimed unusual movement began inside one of the rooms. In the video caption, he wrote, “AT OPEN HOUSE TOUR and ghost started playing with us.” The clip later picked up 11.7 million views, 1.7 million likes, and 25,300 comments.
The footage shows a first-person walk through a room with pink upper walls, wood paneling on the lower half, grey patterned carpet, and a full-length mirror leaning against a wall. The clip begins with footage of a door handle that appears to turn on its own before the door pops open.
The person filming can be heard saying, “Okay. Oh no, let’s get out of here.” A man in a white shirt, seen in the mirror, then said, “Gives it a little character, that’s what I like to say.”
The clip shows a rattling mirror, knocks, and a closet door that appeared to open
Joseph asked how long the house had been on the market. The other man answered, “You ready? I don’t know.” Gatollari wrote that two deliberate knocks then seemed to come from the same door. The person behind the camera asked, “You heard that?”
The realtor replied, “H- no.” The cameraman then said, “Oh, no, I’m not tripping. That- did that just move?” He added, “Oh, yo, you let ghosts in here or something, man? Hold up, man.” He later said the movement “got to be a mouse or something.”
A mirror in the room continued to rattle in the video. The realtor called the motion “not normal” after a remark about ghosts possibly being in the home.
Joseph then said, “Okay. Oh no, let’s get out of here.” Gatollari wrote that a closet door also appeared to crack open and that the two men left the room right after that. The incident is part of a broader pattern of unsettling rental experiences, as Airbnb guests once heard a strange noise from a wardrobe and found the host inside.
Mustafa Gatollari, an experienced paranormal investigator, reacted to the clip on Brobible. Gatollari, who has worked as a paranormal investigator on programs including A&E’s Ghost Hunters, said he and co-investigator Brandon Alvis documented a similar-looking doorknob turning by itself at the historic Speed Mansion, which he said was also up for sale. He wrote that tests at that site did not produce a clear mechanical explanation.
He also said old floorboards can creak and shift items across a room when someone steps on the same board. He added that he found it odd that no one had looked inside the closet and that someone standing behind the door could have stepped on a board connected to the mirror. Despite offering these possible explanations, Gatollari suggested that the house could still be haunted
Viewers focused on how quickly the tour ended and on whether the clip looked staged. One commenter wrote, “Bruh the seller gave up so quick.” Another joked, “The Ghost: “And this is the closet”.” A third commenter wrote, “See how fast scary movies would be over.” Someone else said, “Aside from it being haunted, this house ugly as hell.”
Other commenters treated the video as possibly real. One wrote, “A lot of these paranormal videos are fake as hell but I honestly think this one is actually Legit. You can see the orbs in the part with the mirror.” Another said, “if this isn’t fake this may be the clearest video of paranormal activities probably ever.”
A further commenter wrote, “Well, at least the ghost warned y’all before you got the house usually they wait for people to buy the house first.” Unexplained noises and hidden spaces often fuel such theories, as when a woman finds a boarded up hidden door in her uncle’s house leading to an eerie basement.
