Mississippi man calls police on ‘man with two little girls using the women’s bathroom.’ Then the agency he works for sees the video

Treating each other kindly has never been more valuable.

A Mississippi man lost his job after a confrontation at a gas station turned into a viral TikTok that amassed more than 24 million views and thousands of comments. The man sparked controversy after seeing another father accompany his daughters into a women’s restroom at a gas station, prompting him to call the police.

The man’s identity has not been publicly released. However, the viral TikTok clearly showed his face. Through the father’s account, @tylerbrodsky2, the Mississippi man can be heard berating him for being inside the women’s restroom. Reportedly, it was the man’s wife and mother-in-law who informed him that Brodsky was in the restroom with his daughters.

The confrontation took place at a QuikTrip gas station in Alabama, with both parties traveling through the state on their way elsewhere. According to his caption, Brodsky was driving from Florida to Oklahoma and had stopped so his family could freshen up.

Brodsky explained that he chose not to take his two young daughters into the men’s restroom because it was “dirty.” Before long, the Mississippi man called police, saying: “There is a man with two little girls using the women’s bathroom.” He continued, “He’s washing his hands with his daughters right now.”

The two men eventually became involved in a verbal confrontation. In the TikTok video, Brodsky’s daughters can be heard crying as the argument escalates. The Mississippi man stood in the doorway of the women’s restroom while speaking with police. Brodsky later asked his 24 million viewers whether he was the one in the wrong.

Without hesitation, most commenters sided with Brodsky. He later wrote: “Thank you all for the support! I honestly never expected this video to reach so many people. My girls and I are still making our way home to Oklahoma, but I see all the comments asking for an update.” He promised a follow-up, adding, “I’ll be posting Part 2 tomorrow with what happened after the video. Thank you again for all the kind words and support for my girls and me. Safe travels, everyone!”

Y’all make this man famous. We stopped at a QuikTrip on our road trip from Florida back to Oklahoma so my daughters could use the restroom. The women’s restroom was empty, so I took them in. I’d rather do that than bring two little girls into a men’s bathroom full of grown men and dirty stalls. This guy comes barging in yelling, scares my daughters, and somehow thinks THEY should’ve been in the men’s room instead. Am I wrong here? 🤷‍♂️ #GirlDad #RoadTrip #parenting #fyp #viral

Things escalated further when someone identified and contacted the Mississippi man’s contractor. According to TMZ, Overstreet Properties issued a statement that read in part: “The conduct depicted in the video does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties or the standards we expect from those who represent our organization. Our focus remains on providing quality service to our clients, partners, and community.”

The statement concluded with the declaration: “The individual depicted in the video is no longer associated with Overstreet Properties.”

This is not the first time a person’s conduct outside of work has followed them into the workplace. Just last year, a viral incident at a Coldplay concert exposed a man’s affair with a co-worker. The fallout reportedly included the end of his marriage, both individuals leaving their jobs, and even celebrities creating satirical advertisements inspired by the controversy.

Treating each other kindly has never been more valuable. These days, it’s probably safest to assume that your behavior could end up being broadcast to 20 million people in real time. What might have once been a brief disagreement between strangers can now become a viral moment with consequences that extend far beyond the original encounter.
