‘That look of sheer entitlement’: Well-known NYC artist kicked off of plane after explosive meltdown and spitting on passengers

There’s no better way to tank your own reputation than by having a very public meltdown where you insult as many demographics as possible. A well-known NYC artist has done just that and footage of her awful behavior is now going viral on TikTok.

The viral clip (or clips as there were multiple POVs) shows a woman, who has since been identified as Leanna Perry, shouting verbal abuse at another female passenger before she gets physical and grabs the other woman’s hair. At this point other passengers intervene to try and detain Leanna. It takes a rather painful looking minute before she finally releases her grip on the other woman’s hair, but that’s not the end of it.

Leanna continues to hurl abuse at the woman before trying to spit on her. She also makes a few racist remarks directed to one of the men trying to prevent her from harming anyone else. Eventually she is handcuffed but this only causes her to go into a bigger meltdown, kicking her feet out and yelling “I can’t breathe” multiple times. The clip ends with her being carried off in a stretcher.

We’ve seen plane freakouts before but this is something else. The incident reportedly took place on a Southwest flight from LaGuardia. It’s not entirely clear what started the altercation but it seems much of Leanna’s wrath was directed towards the woman whose hair she grabbed, she can be heard calling her a “fat a** B****”.

Who is Leanna Perry?

One thing to know about the internet is that it doesn’t forgive and it doesn’t forget. Once that video went viral it was already over for Perry and it didn’t help that she was already a semi-public figure. She was quickly identified and, according to the New York Post, Perry is an artist in NYC who had worked with major brands in the past such as Maybelline, Steve Madden, and Adidas.

Unfortunately for her, it’s unlikely she’ll ever get to work with such high-end brands again. People on TikTok have already given their judgement on her and it’s not kind.

Honestly her actions in the video are beyond terrible, but some have questioned if she was in her right frame of mind. This could be a similar situation to Tiffany Gomas, the viral “crazy plane lady” from a couple of years ago. Even if that was the case it’s difficult to imagine any sort of apology being able to make up for what she’s said and done. After finding out she was a rich artist from NYC one individual on TikTok labeled her entitled.

Perry has since been charged on multiple counts. The charges are as follows: resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, three counts of harassment and three counts of attempted assault. She was released last week but is expected back in court on September 3rd.
