Woman allegedly spots $16 vodka lemonade on Washington state restaurant menu. Then she claims she noticed a Costco product: ‘may have been a first’

Though surprised, she said it didn't ruin the experience.

A woman visiting a Washington state restaurant says she was surprised to find Kirkland Signature vodka listed on the menu for a $16 vodka lemonade. TikTok creators Zada and Hana (@me.z.and.fuji) shared the observation in a September 2026 video.

The TikTok begins with Zada asking Hana what she wants to drink. Hana replies, “I’m gonna have the Costco lemonade.” Kirkland Signature is Costco‘s value-focused private-label brand, with products generally priced below comparable national brands, making its appearance in a $16 restaurant cocktail an unusual detail for the TikTok creator.

The caption explains why. Hana said she and Zada buy Kirkland vodka at Costco. However, seeing the Costco brand name on a restaurant menu “may have been a first.” Kirkland Signature American Vodka typically sells for around $14 for a 1.75-liter bottle at Costco.

Hana had a nice meal, anyway

In the post caption, Hana called the restaurant cute and the drinks and appetizers delicious. She also said she ordered the Kirkland vodka lemonade and believed the lemonade itself was Kirkland brand.

Kirkland Vodka made it on the menu at $16 per lemonade. I mean don’t get me wrong we buy Kirkland vodka at Costco but this may have been a first to see it on the menu like it. It was a cute little restaurant and the drinks and appetizers were delicious. And yes I did order my Kirkland vodka lemonade and I am pretty sure the lemonade was Kirkland brand too. 🤣🤣🤣 #funny #costco #seattle #pikeplacemarket #tourist

One commenter suggested the restaurant owner purchased the vodka personally at Costco and then resold it. Costco operates membership-based warehouse stores that sell food, beverages, and other supplies in bulk, making it a familiar shopping destination for both consumers and some restaurants looking to manage food and beverage costs. It is not primarily a restaurant supplier.

The commenter wrote that restaurants have to buy liquor through distributors and that “no one distributes Kirkland.” But according to the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB), restaurants with spirits, beer, and wine licenses may buy spirits from an in-state spirits distributor, a spirits retailer licensee, a craft distillery, or a distillery. Certain out-of-state distilleries can also ship directly to licensed retailers if they hold the required Washington certificate and the retailer has the appropriate endorsement.

The restaurant appears to be Copacabana, a restaurant at Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Copacabana’s online menu lists a $16 vodka lemonade made with “fresh-squeezed lemonade,” and Kirkland Signature Vodka.

Other restaurant menus also feature Kirkland vodka. The Back Lot in Petoskey, Michigan, lists Kirkland Vodka as a house option and offers a Bloody Mary made with either Kirkland or Gypsy vodka.

Restaurant pricing also reflects costs beyond the liquor itself. Rent, labor, insurance, food, utilities, licensing, and other operating expenses all factor into menu prices. The vodka’s retail price is only one factor in a cocktail’s menu price, which also reflects a restaurant’s operating costs and markup.

In other restaurant and alcohol-related news, a TikToker recently went viral with her story about receiving surprise Jell-O shots at an Austin Applebee’s. According to her post, her evening became even more interesting after that.
