Woman takes a Carnival cruise. Then she allegedly caught another woman scraping flakes off her foot with a fork. Now the cruise line has responded

A Carnival Cruise Line passenger’s viral TikTok series has prompted an official response from the cruise line after videos appeared to show another guest using a dining fork to scrape white flakes from the bottom of her foot while seated in a public dining area. TikTok creator Luckycharmedcourt (@luckycharmedcourt) shared a series of videos documenting what she said she witnessed aboard a Carnival Cruise ship. The clips quickly spread across social media and drew millions of views.

The videos show a woman sitting at a dining table while eating pizza. In one clip, she appears to scratch the bottom of her foot with her hand, causing white flakes to fall to the floor before continuing her meal. In another video, she appears to use a dining fork to scrape her foot while remaining at the table.

According to Luckycharmedcourt’s subsequent posts, she reported the incident to guest services and later spoke with the ship’s captain about her concerns. The videos do not identify the woman.

Carnival Cruise responded after viral outcry

The videos sparked widespread discussion online. Comments included, “They need to be kicked out of the damn restaurant,” “Absolutely wildddd,” “People are so DISGUSTING!!!,” and “This is an example of how [diseases] quickly spread also.”

Carnival Cruise Line addressed the incident publicly through a statement posted on its official Instagram account. “Hi Carnival cruisers,” the company wrote. “We can confirm that forks are intended for food, not foot care. Once we became aware of the situation, our team quickly addressed it with the guest and removed the utensil from service.”

Carnival continued, “While the video may be generating laughs and gasps online, cleanliness and hygiene are no joke to us. Our crew works hard every day to maintain high standards across our fleet and to ensure all guests enjoy a safe, clean, and comfortable vacation.” The social media post included a humorous edit crossing out the word “feet” and replacing it with “fleet.”

The cruise line did not publicly identify the guest shown in the videos or disclose whether any additional action occurred beyond removing the utensil from service and addressing the matter with the passenger. People reported that the incident appears to have taken place aboard the Carnival Sunrise, although Carnival’s public statement did not identify the ship by name.

Following the public outcry, news outlets highlighted Carnival’s standard safety and hygiene procedures. Reportedly, all dining utensils undergo high-temperature commercial sanitization after every meal service.

In other viral Carnival Cruise News, a Louisiana man also reported he was unable to board his cruise due to an issue with his birth certificate and because he did not have a passport. He says he’d used his birth certificate at boarding before, and passports are not typically required for what are called “closed-loop” cruises, originating and returning to the United States.
