Yes, we know that Nightwing’s getting his own movie already, but here us out on this one.

What’s it like to be a sidekick all your life? To live in the shadow of someone more famous than you and not really knowing your true worth as a solo hero? That would be the underlying motivation behind a Nightwing series, which would immediately make Dick Grayson the most complex out of any CW hero.

A show following Nightwing would start with him moving to Blüdhaven and adopting his new name in order to begin his career as a solo vigilante, but it would be so much more than that. Dick Grayson had his family taken from him at an incredibly young age, only to be immediately morphed into a crime fighter. He hasn’t had a normal life either, interacting mostly with the emotionally stunted Bruce Wayne. The other side of the show, of course, would see Dick learn how to be a functioning member of society as well as a kick ass hero.

It’s a balance that would not only bring a fan-favorite character to the small screen, but really explore him in ways a movie cannot.
