A Marvel and DC veteran named as one of the world’s most influential people boards the new season of a Netflix fantasy

The cast keeps on growing.

With season 2 having kicked off shooting last week amidst the writers’ strike, Neil Gaiman seems confident enough that the sophomore run of The Sandman won’t be needing any alterations made to its scripts, which is fair enough considering the opening batch of episodes came in for widespread acclaim.

As much as the series is trying to keep any new additions to its ensemble under wraps, a casting call for Norse gods Thor, Loki, and Odin ignited plenty of excitement to see if Netflix can outdo Marvel when it comes to unforgettable Asgardian deities, while set photos have revealed another new addition to the ensemble.

Digital Spy has uncovered some snaps taken during production that reveal Pose star Indya Moore alongside Tom Sturridge’s Dream, with the star having impeccable pop culture credentials. As well as lending their talents to Marvel’s animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, they also have a role in this year’s DCU blockbuster Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom as Karshon, not to mention a recent appearance in Netflix’s smash hit Nimona, in addition to their status of being named as one of TIME‘s 100 most influential people in the world back in 2019.

That’s a solid list of accolades to put it lightly, and even though there may not be any official confirmation as to who Moore will be playing in season 2 of The Sandman, those who waited four agonizing months for its renewal to be announced will be more than happy knowing that filming is moving along at a brisk pace.
