ABC and Marvel have today released the official synopsis for the sixth episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s third season, and it offers up a very intriguing hint about what’s to come in the series. The focus of the show this year is the Inhumans, but it appears as if “Among Us Hide…” is going to put the spotlight on some classic S.H.I.E.L.D. baddies: HYDRA.
It’s a little vague, but here’s what the network has to say about this upcoming instalment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.:
S.H.I.E.L.D. TAKES ACTION WHEN ONE OF THEIR OWN IS ATTACKED – The stakes get even higher as Hunter and May continue to go after Ward and Hydra, and Daisy and Coulson begin to suspect that the ATCU may be keeping a big secret from S.H.I.E.L.D.
As we mentioned, it doesn’t give a lot away, but this is the episode which will see Powers Boothe show up as Gideon Malick following his appearance in The Avengers back in 2012. However, he’ll be playing a different character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., something which doesn’t matter all that much considering the fact that he was only seen in shadow in the movie.
