Well, the network isn’t ready to stop there, as they’ve released two full clips in advance of the premiere. The first of which, seen at the top of this article, is labeled “Sneak Peek #2,” though it appears to take place first chronologically. In a moment, you’ll see why.

In short, it shows Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne meeting on a rooftop, discussing what to do now that the city has been turned upside down by the events of “No Man’s Land.” And during their conversation, Bruce mentions Lucius Fox developing night vision goggles for the GCPD and Selina’s condition getting worse. Keep that in mind when you view the second clip found below.

As you can see, Bruce and Alfred are at the hospital, most likely waiting for doctors to finish a procedure on Selina. Unfortunately, the lights are flickering and some nefarious characters are raiding the basement. Bruce’s mentioning of a gift from Lucius leads me to believe he’s referring to those aforementioned night vision goggles, so that’s how I was able to assemble what’s most likely the proper chronology.

For more on “Year Zero,” be sure to check out the official synopsis:

Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) face the chaos Gotham City has become. Their mission to keep the city safe becomes more complicated, as the villains who survived the attack on the city begin to resurface and claim various territories. Meanwhile, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) grapples with how to deal with her uncertain future.

Gotham returns for its fifth season on Thursday, January 3rd on Fox.
