The CW has been busy casting the rest of its lineup for the pilot of Arrow.

Already confirmed for the series is Stephen Amell, who will be playing the lead Green Arrow aka Oliver Queen. You may remember Amell from a brief stint on The Vampire Diaries in late 2011, and he is not alone in his noticeable CW connection.

Willa Holland has been tapped to play Thea Queen, the celebutante sister of the Green Arrow himself – well, his playboy politician self at least. Holland is an alum of The O.C., and also played a drug abusing naughty model that screwed things up for Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) on Gossip Girl several seasons ago.

Another former CW actress, Katie Cassidy, has been cast in the pilot. Cassidy will play the lead role of Dinah Laurel Lance. Lance is another character living a double life – lawyer by day, superhero Black Canary by night, and conveniently a former lover of Oliver Queen. This girl is no newcomer to the ways of the CW, as she has appeared in extended arcs on Supernatural, the reboot of Melrose Place, and most recently on Gossip Girl as another enemy of the upper eastsiders.

From outside of the CW family come actors David Ramsey (Blue Bloods) and Susanna Thompson (Once & Again). Ramsey took the role of John Diggle, an ex-military man turned body guard. Thompson will play Moira Queen, the mother of Oliver and Thea.

The pilot is one of eight being considered for the 2012 fall season and is being executive produced and penned by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. Director David Nutter is at its helm.
