Dave Chappelle Spoofs The Walking Dead And Negan On SNL

Dave Chappelle appeared as the host on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, and to say he delivered would be an understatement. The comedian was on top form, delivering laugh after laugh, a timely monologue about the current political state in the US and some truly side-splitting skits. The highlight, though, was the one in which he spoofed the shocking season 7 premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead.

Dave Chappelle appeared as the host on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, and to say that he crushed it would be an understatement. The comedian was in top form, delivering laugh after laugh, a timely monologue and some truly side-splitting skits. The highlight, though, was the one in which he spoofed the shocking season 7 premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

As you can see in the video above, Chappelle took on the controversial scene where Negan takes out two beloved characters in particularly brutal fashion. Played for laughs, this version of the horrifying moment is obviously a lot more humorous, but it’s still a well done parody and one that fans of Chapelle’s Show will no doubt get a kick out of.

That’s because instead of Rick, Glenn, Maggie, Abraham and the rest of The Walking Dead gang showing up here, we get characters from the much loved sketch show in their place. Chappelle himself plays Negan, but his victims come in the form of Clayton Bigsby, Lil Jon, Tyrone Biggums and more. Not only that, but the comedian also takes a swing (pun intended) at the current political climate in the United States.

All in all, it’s a downright hilarious skit from the brilliant Dave Chapelle and has us eager to see more from him. Check it out for yourself in the player above and be sure to tune into AMC tonight for a brand new, extended episode of The Walking Dead.
