The Flash’s Grant Gustin Is Excited About Superman Appearing In The Next Crossover

Despite the next Arrowverse crossover seemingly not being as epic in scale as, say, "Invasion!" or "Crisis on Earth-X," it's expected to make up for that by focusing more on character. And just when you thought it couldn't get any cooler than having Ruby Rose debuting as the first live action version of Batwoman, we recently learned of how Superman and Lois Lane will feature in the very same event as well.

What’s doubly exciting about the news we just mentioned is that not only will we be seeing Tyler Hoechlin as Big Blue for the first time since Supergirl‘s second season finale, but this is the first time we’ll be seeing Lois in the Arrowverse. I mean, we knew she existed, but knowing she’ll soon be cast is quite thrilling to learn.

Being a huge fan of the Man of Steel himself, it’s not surprising that The Flash‘s Grant Gustin be among the first to express his enthusiasm. Here’s what he had to say while speaking with Entertainment Weekly:

“To see Flash and Superman together and to be one of the guys in the suits is something I’m definitely pretty excited about. It did feel like something they would always save for the features, to be honest. But I feel like the Arrowverse has kind of been changing that stigma with the whole TV is the lesser medium. I think it kind of doesn’t matter these days with the streaming and content’s kind of everywhere. So, it is cool to see us kind of rise to even another level and bring all of us together for these crossovers. It’s pretty epic.”

Though I did enjoy Justice League, which featured Ezra Miller and Henry Cavill in those same roles, I’m right there with those of you who feel the TV side of things is the superior choice when it comes to DC properties being adapted from comics. That said, I wish Grant and Tyler all the best and hope they leave their mark on history.

Expect for the next crossover to begin on Sunday, December 9 with The Flash. Then, the adventure will continue on Monday, December 10 over on Arrow before wrapping up on Tuesday, December 11 on Supergirl.
