Once Kevin Spacey was removed from House of Cards due to the ever-increasing sexual harrassment allegations against him, fans of Netflix’s political drama were only asking one question: how would Frank Underwood’s absence be explained? Well, this new teaser for season 6 finally reveals the fate of the scheming fictional POTUS.

In the 24 second promo, Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood is apparently speaking to her husband (as well as the audience) as she delivers an ominous speech. “I’ll tell you this though, Francis,” Claire says. “When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line.” It’s then revealed that she’s standing in front of Frank’s grave, situated next to his father’s in South Carolina.

Though the downfall of Spacey hit the show hard, causing production to be suspended until the writers room could rethink the shape of the season, if it had to happen it happened at a perfect time for House of Cards. The end of season 5 saw Claire take over as President, so it seems only natural, then, that Wright should be bumped up into the lead role for this final run of the acclaimed series.

In Spacey’s place, the cast is being filled out with two new stars, Academy Award nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear who will play Annette and Bill Shepherd, described as sharing “a vision for the future of America, as well as a complicated past with the Underwoods.” The rest of the principal players – namely, Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson and Constance Zimmer – will also be back for more.

House of Cards returns to Netflix in just a couple of months’ time for one last run of eight episodes as we finally get to see what Claire Underwood does while sitting in the big chair. Be sure to catch it on November 2nd.
