Gotham BTS Photo Offers Terrifying New Look At The Joker

Even though we've seen our share of the final version of the Joker set to be featured in Gotham's concluding episode, that doesn't mean anyone's fascination with the character has ended. After all, the inclusion of such an iconic villain will no doubt remain a talking point well after the finale has aired.

Having put together some of the pieces myself, I’d have to say that it appears as though the emergence of Batman will force Jeremiah Valeska to snap out of his decade-long catatonic state, thus leading to his latest persona unleashing hell upon the city. This, my friends, is this series’ definitive take on the Clown Prince of Crime for all intents and purposes. Or, it’s Bruce Wayne’s return to town that serves as the catalyst, with the Dark Knight being there to set him straight. Either way, it’s essentially the same guy who sets him off.

On that note, makeup and FX artist Ben Bornstein has treated us to the latest image showing off Cameron Monaghan as the Joker. Uploaded to Bornstein’s own Instagram page, the chilling photo can be viewed below.

Cool as this stuff is to gaze upon, I can’t help recalling the promo for the finale referring to the evildoer as “Jeremiah Valeska.” Perhaps his name is spoken before he rechristens himself as “the Joker,” but I think viewers – myself included – will feel cheated if nobody says that moniker aloud.
