Jim Carrey Will Guest Star On The Office

NBC is going all out for the season seven finale of The Office. With Steve Carrell‘s character Michael Scott on his way out, they need a new boss and Jim Carrey will play one of the several potential candidates. Carrey will join Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, Ricky Gervais, Ray Romano, Catherine Tate and James Spader as they battle it our for the job of office manager. We’ve already seen Ferrell but the others have yet to appear on the show and the decision of who will be taking over Michael’s job won’t be revealed until the end of the episode.

Rumors have been rampant around the internet regarding which actor will fill Carrell’s shoes. You can find arguments for each of the individuals listed above. To be honest though, no one can really fill his shoes. The show just won’t be the same without him. He made the show and his chemistry with the other actors was brilliant.  Carrell was the star of the show and it was his show. I really don’t see how the show will continue to succeed without him. Sure, the other characters are great as well but Carrell was just ‘next level’ so to speak. I’m sure the show will still be funny and I’ll still watch, but it just won’t be the same.
