New Arrowverse Crossover Pics Show More Of Superman’s Black Suit

Some more pics from the currently shooting Arrowverse crossover, titled "Elseworlds" have surfaced and they give us a great look at Superman's black suit.

This year’s annual Arrowverse crossover looks to seriously shake things up by having Arrow‘s Stephen Amell and The Flash‘s Grant Gustin swap characters. Titled “Elsewords,” the poster for the three-night event showed us that for one time only, Oliver Queen will be the Scarlet Speedster and Barry Allen the Emerald Archer. Everybody lost their minds over the change, but there’s something else which has a lot of fans talking as well.

That’d be Superman’s black suit. Yes, Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel is on his way back to the Arrowverse for the first time in years and it seems he’ll be donning that much discussed costume. Why exactly he’s got it on is unclear, but some new set photos have found their way online today which give us a pretty good look at it.

See for yourself:

Of course, not seen in these shots – or any of the set pics to date – is Ruby Rose’s Batwoman. We’ve already had our first look at her in full costume, though, and we’re definitely excited to see her in action. Especially since Stephen Amell has teased that the character looks epic on screen. Like Superman’s black suit, though, a lot of mystery currently surrounds her as we don’t yet know how she’ll be involved.

From what we’ve been told, though, “Elseworlds” will see Green Arrow, Flash and Supergirl have to head to Gotham City to deal with someone at Arkham Asylum who’s messing with reality. Sounds intriguing, and thankfully, we’ll find out soon enough why Barry and Oliver have changed places, why Supes dons an alternate costume and just how Batwoman fits into all this, as the Arrowverse crossover begins on Sunday, December 9 with The Flash, continues on Monday, December 10 with Arrow, and wraps up on Tuesday, December 11 with Supergirl.
