Once word hit that Wentworth Miller had joined the cast of The Flash as Captain Cold, we knew that it was only a matter of time before the classic supervillain’s little sister, Golden Glider, joined the fray as well. Those suspicions have now been confirmed by Access Hollywood, as they report that Mad Men and The Tomorrow People actress Peyton List has been cast in the role.
Lisa Snart is a figure skater who took up the name Golden Glider when she joined her brother, and the other Rogues, in a life of crime. She was given a bit of an other-worldly update in the New 52 relaunch, however, as an explosion leaves her in a coma and an astral projection of her starts causing trouble for the scarlet speedster.
Golden Glider will make her small screen debut in the show’s sixteenth episode. Unfortunately, the synopsis provided doesn’t offer much in the way of telling us what version of the character will be adapted, though it does promise that she’ll be a force to be reckoned with:
While Leonard is cold and calculating, Lisa is a wild child and anxious to prove to her older brother she’s got what it takes to be in his criminal gang. She is sly, charming, and even a little sadistic. She’s also not afraid to use her sexuality to get what she wants, which will put her on a collision course with S.T.A.R. Labs employee and friend of The Flash — Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes).
The Flash airs on Tuesdays on the CW at 8 p.m.
