Supergirl Casts Jenna Dewan-Tatum As Lois Lane’s Little Sister

It seems Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will have a rival for the affections of Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) when the CBS TV series kicks off next month, as EW reports that Jenna Dewan-Tatum (The Witches Of East End, American Horror Story, The Playboy Club) has joined the cast of the small-screen DC Comics adaptation as Lucy Lane.

This take on Lois’ younger sister is described as  “brash, funny and successful in her own right,” and will be introduced as Kara’s new CatCo media conglom colleague – who also just happens to be Jimmy’s ex. It’s a safe bet there’ll be some tension there!

In the comics, Lucy is one of several characters to take up the mantle of Superwoman, but whether the show follows suit in that regard remains to be seen.

Supergirl premieres Monday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS, before moving to its regular slot at 8 p.m. on Nov. 2. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the comments section below.
