Supergirl And Legends Of Tomorrow Will Soon Crossover In An Unexpected Way

Despite Legends of Tomorrow sitting out this fall's major Arrowverse crossover, it appears as though there'll still be some cross-pollination between the time traveling superhero show and its sister series. In fact, it looks like a certain stuffed animal the fanbase took to last year will make a comeback of sorts on Earth-38.

Earlier today, a new trailer for Supergirl‘s fourth season hit the web, thereby quenching our thirst for new content. But what you may not have noticed was that what appeared to be a stuffed Beebo toy could be seen clutched by a frightened child at the six second mark. Seriously, check out the video below for yourself and be the judge.

Personally, I didn’t catch Beebo Fever as some of you may have, but I’ve been known to be more so attracted to the darker tone favored by Arrow and Black Lightning. Still, I can’t help admitting that Legends of Tomorrow‘s comedic third season was its best to date – even if it was topped off by a giant fuzzy creature subduing Mallus, last year’s big bad.

Not long ago, Legends executive producer and showrunner Phil Klemmer spoke with ComicBook.com about Beebo’s unexpected popularity, offering the following:

“Sometimes you just get lucky with your performers and the themes and the world you create. The problem is we’re doing this stuff so far in advance that if you make a mistake, there’s not really righting the ship. It does feel like a small miracle when you get to the end of season and you look back on it and it feels coherent. You’re like, ‘You know what? It’s crazy and it’s wacky but …’ And not that we had any of this planned ahead of time because we’re not that conscientious or intelligent, but the fact that we’re able to pull all of the wild, disparate, loose ends in some semblance of a bow. It does feel, I don’t know, more that anything, you just feel like a giant relief and humility.”

Supergirl returns for its fourth season on Sunday, October 14 on The CW, with Legends of Tomorrow returning for its respective fourth go-round on Monday, October 22.
