We’re currently just over a week away from seeing the launch of this year’s Star Wars Celebration, which is expected to bring us some long-awaited details on a variety of upcoming projects. In the meantime, however, StarWarsLeaks subreddit moderator JediPaxis has shared a little intel about The Mandalorian that they allegedly heard from a reliable source.

Right at the top of their list of claims is that Tatooine will be the “main location” for the Disney Plus series. And while the assertion has yet to be officially confirmed, it certainly lines up with the TV show’s various set photos, which suggest a planet populated by a very similar assortment of shady characters to the ones you’d find on Luke Skywalker’s home planet. A report from last January even claimed that the series will feature Jawas.

Incidentally, these little hooded creatures are also mentioned in the Reddit report, which says that they’ll somehow help Pedro Pascal’s title character. But while it’s thought that The Mandalorian will spend most of its time on Tatooine, JediPaxis also relays word that the show will feature another location that’s been compared to the Forest Moon of Endor and the Wookiee planet of Kashyyyk.

Hopefully we’ll get some confirmation on a few of these claims at next week’s Celebration, perhaps during the panel on April 14th. In fact, there’s a significant chance that the convention will offer our first bit of footage from Jon Favreau’s show, as well as the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX. All in all, it’s looking to be a very busy week for the Star Wars franchise, but Lucasfilm will no doubt be saving plenty of secrets for when The Mandalorian premieres on Disney Plus later this year.
