Vengeance Calls In Ghost Rider Promo For Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has become one of those shows fans seem to either love or hate, but the addition of Ghost Rider to the upcoming fourth season seems to have everyone interested. It helps of course that the ABC series has a later timeslot, something many fans hope will lead to a tonal shift that brings the show more in line with the likes of Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, but the Spirit of Vengeance showing up this season (even if it isn’t the version of the character that the vast majority of fans would have liked to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) is a very big deal, and something which promises to drastically alter the status quo for Agent Coulson and his team.

We still don’t know an awful lot about what to expect from Robbie Reyes, but based on the new promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that we see above, he’s clearly struggling to handle the burden of having this demonic force in his life. Also, while it’s already been mentioned here and there, the fact that this video seems to make it clear that he’s definitely not an Inhuman will surely be welcomed by fans.

Like Agent Carter – which was cancelled after two seasons – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t exactly setting the ratings on fire, so the addition of Ghost Rider could be a necessity if the series hopes to reach a fifth year. Assuming he’s handled the right way though, this really could be something special and lead to the characters having a very different set of adventures moving forward.
