Vinnie Jones Joins Arrow As DC Supervillain Brick

Until last season, Arrow had remained completely superpower free, residing instead in a completely grounded and far more realistic comic book world. Until last season, Arrow had remained completely superpower free, residing instead in a completely grounded and far more realistic comic book world. That all changed when a Mirakuru drug began granting Deathstroke and his army superhuman powers, followed by the introduction of Barry Allen, The Flash‘s Fastest Man Alive.

We know that Arrow will continue sticking to a more power-free universe, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing any metahumans on the show. After all, superpowered characters still exist in the Arrow/Flash universe, even if they don’t come to Star City very often.

According to Variety, one such metahuman soon to come head-to-head with Oliver Queen is Green Arrow supervillain Danny “Brick” Brickwell, who will be played by Snatch and Elementary actor Vinnie Jones starting in episode ten. He’ll stick around for three episodes, and is described as “a ruthless gun leader who brings Star City’s government to its knees.” He’s known as “Brick” on the streets thanks to his impenetrable skin as reportedly, he’s been seen shot dozens of times but has never been put down.

Arrow airs on Wednesdays on the CW at 8 p.m. Are you excited to see Jones joining the cast? Sound off below!
