The promo video for the next episode of Peacemaker has arrived, and it teases out of this world fun for the follow-up to the first three episodes of the DC show that hit HBO Max Thursday.

The show, starring John Cena as the titular antihero in a continuation from the excellent The Suicide Squad movie, has received much praise by fans and critics alike so far, with the show boasting an impressive 94% critical score on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes (as of press time).

Warning: from here on out, the article will contain spoilers for Peacemaker.

The show’s plot centers around Cena’s Christopher Smith, AKA Peacemaker, in the immediate aftermath of Project Starfish, which left him hospitalized.

Once again recruited by Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, he joins another Task Force X mission, this time dubbed Project Butterfly.

This newest promo reveals the nature of the mission, and it again involves extraterrestrial people taking, similar to the Starro the Conqueror threat from The Suicide Squad.

Now that we think about it, there are quite a few James Gunn movies that involve alien invasions of some kind, from Slither to Guardians of the Galaxy. We’re not complaining, though, as long as Gunn can keep dishing out the lovably dark characters, true-to-comics storylines, and hilarious dialogue we’ve come to love about his movies.

Catch the first three episodes of Peacemaker on HBO Max now, with the fourth episode coming next Thursday.
