Where is the ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ filming location?

'Farmer Wants a Wife' is a reality dating television series on FOX that is taking viewers to ranches across the US.

Reality television introduced fans to a new dating series early in March, and it’s a splash of Yellowstone, a dash of a Hallmark movie, and a heavy dose of reality television all at once. Farmer Wants a Wife is a taking romantic hopefuls out of the city and giving them a ride on the back of a horse instead of a ticket to somewhere tropical.

Of course, they’re also getting something so few other dating shows right now offer, an authentic connection, a genuine chance at love, and gestures of romance like stargazing in the back of a pickup truck and cuddling on the sofa with dogs. Clearly, we’re pretty invested in this one. Of course, with a series highlighting four leads, we are getting four locations on Farmer Wants a Wife as the ladies travel to the farms of Ryan, Allen, Hunter, and Landon.

Before we get too far into the locations of filming, we’ve got to talk about what’s at the heart of all these filming locations: love. Host Jennifer Nettles shared the following sentiments with the Washington Post regarding witnessing love stories form before her very eyes.

“To get to be a part of a story happening in real time, in someone else’s story, I think that that’s what we’re all looking for when we watch these shows. … We’re really all looking to feel seen and to see some of ourselves in other people. I think it’s very rewarding to get to be a part of a different kind of storytelling.”

Those who tune into series like The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Love is Blind, Love Island, and other dating shows know that most have become hybrid shows. Some “contestants” are still looking for love, but it becomes obvious after a few episodes that others are looking for an excellent on-screen edit or an opportunity. Farmer Wants a Wife is about genuine connection and love, at least — that’s what the premise is because this ends a little differently than most. These farmers aren’t planning to find opportunities as the journey continues; they want love to bring home with them — not a love to open new doors for them.

As fans know, there are several locations where Farmer Wants a Wife is filmed because there are four farmers that are trying to find the one! Each setting is unique to the job and personality of the individual farmer, but they’ve all got that back-home country feel. So where will viewers be taken during each episode of our Yellowstone-esque dating show, and which farmer calls which small town home? As always, we’ve got you covered.

Farmer Ryan

Ryan Black hails from North Carolina and lives on a 44-acre farm, both training and breeding horses. Ryan is one of four farmers to bring eight women to his ranch to see what a day in the life of a farmer is like. Not only are they testing out potential romance matches, but they’re also seeing if a significant lifestyle change for the women would work at all.

Some of Ryan’s contestants are from California, New York, and Florida — and they all live a life very opposite to the one Ryan wakes up to every day. His charming smile and how he wears his heart on his sleeve make the journey easier for the ladies.

Farmer Allen

Allen Foster calls the state of Tennessee home, specifically a 200-acre cattle farm with a sweet farmhouse and the most adorable pups. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Allen is looking for love with a partner who enjoys the great outdoors, understands the value of a hard day’s work, and someone who loves his dogs as much as he does.

Farmer Allen has spoken about hoping to find the woman who loves him for who he is, appreciating everything about him, and so far, it appears that his potential interests could fill the void in his life perfectly.

Farmer Hunter

Hunter Grayson hails from Georgia, where he lives on a horse and cattle ranch, working hard from sun up to sun down. Hunter’s women began swooning for the cowboy from the very first second, and with good reason. He’s a charmer, loves good television (1923 is one of his favorite shows — we’re swooning, too), and realizes that he wants someone to share a sunset with.

Hunter’s ranch is beautiful, but there’s a lot of work to be done, here’s hoping the women he brings home are able to stand alongside him through the ups and downs.

Farmer Landon

Landon Heaton calls Oklahoma home, where he resides on a 300-acre farm and also has 40-acre farmhouse properties and the bluest eyes for the women to fall head over heels for. Landon is a wears his heart on his sleeve kind of guy, and the women who are hoping to be his Mrs. are charmed by that idea.

Landon is sweet, comedic, and — like the other guys, a hard-working man. Bringing women back to the farm to see what it’s like to live and work with so much land and different animals is a shock to what they’re used to, but it’s all worth it in the name of love.

We’re still early in the series, only a few episodes in, but it’s already undeniable that these men are genuinely here to find love, and the women they’ve invited home are hoping to create a life with the eligible bachelors. Each new week brings fresh opportunities for one on one dates, group outings, mornings at the farm, and working hard alongside one another to find out if these city gals can become country wives after all. Each farmer has early frontrunners, but every woman at each farm is hoping to fill the boots of their cowboy beaus, ready to give up everything for a chance at love.

Farmer Wants a Wife airs Wednesday nights on Fox, and you won’t want to miss a moment of these cowboys and their romantic hopefuls on an exciting journey to love.
