DC Super Hero Girls Digital Chapters Made Free For A Limited Time

It’s quite undeniable that superheroes are more popular than they’ve ever been these days. As such, it can be said the genre is no longer viewed as the “boys’ club” it once was. Seeing that there was a bit of a merchandising void for young girls who adore costumed characters, DC wisely created the DC Super Hero Girls franchise not long ago.

At first, it consisted of animated shorts that dropped on YouTube every couple of weeks, and then quickly expanded into a line of action figures, McDonald’s Happy Meal toys, graphic novels, and even an animated movie.

For those of you who are unable to wait for the Free Comic Book Day offering, the publisher has now made the first two digital chapters of DC Super Hero Girls: Past Times at Super Hero High available for free in celebration of this week’s installment. Just know that this offer is valid up through January 31, so if you’re interested, redeem your free chapters by visiting https://www.readdcentertainment.com/redeem and using the special promo code: PASTTIMES2017.

A synopsis for the overall story – as well as the most recent chapter – can be found below:

DC Super Hero Girls: Past Times at Super Hero High is written by fan-favorite writer Shea Fontana and follows the teenage Super Heroes on a time traveling adventure as they try to restore the future after Harley Quinn “accidentally” steals a Dinosaur egg during a school field trip to pre-historic times.

In chapter eight, debuting today, Batgirl and Harley Quinn race through time to set things right and come face-to-face with some real life heroes along the way. Check out cameos from Amelia Earhart and Emily Dickenson in the preview pages below!

Those interested in delving further into DC  Super Hero Girls can find the series via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology.com, Google Play, Kindle Store, and Nook Store.
