It’s being reported that Stephen Dorff, last seen in Sofia Coppola‘s disappointing Somewhere and soon to be seen in Tarsem‘s Immortals, has signed on to replace Matt Dillon in the upcoming film Boot Tracks. Also signing on to the project are Michelle Monaghan (Source Code, Gone Baby Gone) and Ray Winstone (The Departed, Beowulf).

Dorff will be playing “Charlie Rankin, an ex-con who teams with a former porn star (Monaghan) to seek revenge on a pair of individuals from his past.” Winstone will be playing a former associate of Charlie’s from prison.

The film is to be directed by David Jacobson (Down in the Valley) from a screenplay by Matthew F. Jones, based on his own book.

There’s no official word yet as to when the film will start shooting, though with the main actors cast, it’s assumed that it will be within the next few months.
