Peter Dinklage Avengers Infinity War

Peter Dinklage And More Confirmed For Avengers: Infinity War

Along with the second trailer, today brought us our first proper poster for Avengers: Infinity War. It's really something to behold, too, as it features just about every major MCU character (though not Hawkeye, obviously). In addition to that, it also gives us the official credits of the movie - which confirm that several rumoured actors will definitely turn up.

Along with the second trailer, today brought us our first proper poster for Avengers: Infinity War. Amongst others, Reddit user @Ze_Brandy noticed a few interesting names hidden away at the bottom of the poster: Peter Dinklage, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio Del Toro and Idris Elba.

First off, it’s worth mentioning that Paltrow and Del Toro will be returning for Infinity War, reprising their roles as Pepper Potts and the Collector, respectively. This is the first time they’ve been officially confirmed, sure, but their appearances shouldn’t come as a shock. Set photos have previously revealed Paltrow’s role while Del Toro has been glimpsed in some leaked footage.

The fact that Idris Elba is back as Heimdall the Asgardian is a bit more surprising. We haven’t seen any evidence of him being part of the film before, but an action figure of Thor suggests that the God of Thunder will wield Heimdall’s sword at one point. Does this mean Elba’s character could die in Infinity War? It’s certainly possible.

Finally, the biggest reveal from this poster is that Peter Dinklage is 100% in the film. Last year, it was reported that the Game of Thrones star would be part of Infinity War, but Marvel Studios stayed quiet on the story. Who could he be portraying, though? It would make sense if he was one of Thanos’ Black Order, perhaps lending his voice to Corvus Glaive or Cull Obsidian, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Of course, now that the cat’s out of the bag, it’s possible that some info on Dinklage’s character could surface in the next few weeks, but if not, at least there’s not long left until Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas. April 27th is the date for your diaries.
