Diplo And Jauz Team Up To Remix MØ’s “Final Song”

Diplo and Jauz have teamed up on a new collaboration this week as they offer up a remix of MØ's "Final Song." The release doesn't come as a major surprise considering Diplo's previous work with the Danish singer-songwriter on "Lean On" and "Cold Water," but he and Jauz craft up a forward thinking rework of her single that's well worth a listen.

Where the original version of “Final Song” ranks as a fairly downtempo outing, the two producers work up the energy with a faster paced rendition. You may be expecting a bass heavy outing considering the remixers involved, but they opt for a lighthearted tropical vibe complete with rolling bell melodies and driving rhythms. MØ’s distinct vocals are still the primary focus, as Jauz and Diplo infuse a fresh production behind her poppy hooks.

While the new “Final Song” remix is a solid listen, Jauz fans are likely to note that his presence on the tune seems a bit overshadowed by Diplo. That being said, we’ve seen the marine inspired musician step outside of his comfort zone on past efforts like his recent remix of Porter Robinson’s “Language,” and “For U,” so it’s not too surprising that his usual sounds don’t appear here.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on Jauz and Diplo‘s upcoming Tinashe collaboration. No release date for that one just yet, but we’ll keep you posted once we hear more.
