“To Say Goodbye” opens with a bitter sweet piano section, before a tom roll leads into a soothing intro complete with punchy dubstep beats, spiraling synth arpeggios and emotive vocaloid style singing. After a quick build up, Slushii transitions into magical future bass drops with stuttering synth leads layered over airy chords and half time rhythms.

Slushii has been experiencing a major surge in popularity among dance music fans over the last year, and tracks like “To Say Goodbye” make it clear that the attention is well deserved. In a short amount of time he’s gone from virtually unknown to joining the likes of beloved imprint Monstercat and playing his debut DJ set at HARD Summer, and it looks like there’s nowhere to go but up for dance music’s latest breakout star.
