Loki Fans Freaking Out Over Thanos-Copter Becoming MCU Canon

As a multiversal escapade that deals with the very fabric of time, space and reality, Loki was always wide open to feature any number of Marvel Easter Eggs from either the comic books or the live-action blockbusters, and on that front it hasn't disappointed.

This week’s episode alone featured a multitude of tricksters, not to mention cult hero and amphibian God of Thunder Throg, but one background detail in particular has fans losing their minds. We are of course talking about the legendary Thanos-Copter, the Mad Titan’s bizarre mode of transport that was first seen in a 1979 issue of Spidey Super Stories, and has become a figure of fun among Marvel fans ever since.

Despite spending his entire existence wielding immense power to hunt down the Infinity Stones and restore his own definition of balance to the universe, for whatever reason Thanos once decided that he needed a bright yellow helicopter to travel from point A to point B. Naturally, it’s gone down a storm on social media, as you can see from the reactions below.

While we should have never expected Thanos to use his trusted mode of transport in his battle against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes across Avengers: Infinity War and Engame, it would have been one of the greatest things to ever happen to cinema had the Russo brothers just gone ahead and done it.

Instead, we’ll have to make do with the knowledge that it’s officially Marvel Cinematic Universe canon thanks to Loki, which means that there’s a Thanos variant out there somewhere who cramped his hulking purple and heavily-armored form into the cramped cockpit of a tiny yellow helicopter, which is fascinating to think about.
