Ash reunites with one of his oldest and most popular Pokémon in new episode promo

Throwback to the Orange Islands!

Ash’s farewell tour in Pokémon: Aim to be a Pokemon Master continues. Over the years, the everlasting anime’s leading youngster became somewhat notorious for playing catch and release with many powerful Pokémon, many of which may have arguably sped up his progress in becoming a Pokémon master which only JUST happened, but we digress.

One of the most popular Pokémon Ash parted ways with over the years was Lapras, who you may recall was a staple in the anime’s Orange Islands arc. Arguably, it was among the Pokémon that gave Ash and his companions (Misty and Tracey, at the time) the most utility, transporting the group across the seas as they searched far and wide for Ash’s next challenge.

Well, a promo for the next episode of Pokémon: Aim to be a Pokémon Master has revealed that the outgoing protagonist and reining Pokémon World Champion will be reuniting with his old companion and glorified living breathing sailboat, in what looks to be a very aquatic-themed episode:

Pokémon: Aim to be a Pokémon Master continues to relentlessly tug on our heartstrings and play into nostalgia. After all, Ash has reunited with his old traveling companions Brock and Misty, and last week we even got to see another Pikachu and Meowth team-up.

The tears will almost certainly be rolling along with the credits by the time Ash’s farewell series reaches its fast-approaching end.
