The ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ disappointment increases as it looks to be the latest Disney Plus series to get delayed

Be prepared to wait even longer for your return to Hell's Kitchen.

This week has been one heck of an emotional rollercoaster for DD fans. First, we learned the joyous news that Daredevil: Born Again had at long last started production. What’s more, we got the additional mind-blowing announcement that Jon Bernthal will reprise the Punisher in the series. But the high of this honeymoon period didn’t get to last long before we discovered Netflix stars Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll won’t be back for the revival.

This has only led to endless backlash from the Marvel fandom, that’s still smarting from Phase Five’s failed opening, with many either claiming that Daredevil isn’t Daredevil without its supporting cast or else predicting that Born Again is going to die a swift death. While all this is just doom-mongering from disillusioned diehards, a further update has hinted that there could be real reason for disappointment, regarding the series’ shifting release window.

As you may be aware, Marvel’s Disney Plus slate looks set to be delayed across the board, and that seems to include the Hornhead’s long-awaited fourth season. As shared by insider KC Walsh, the latest rumored release schedule for the MCU’s upcoming TV series puts Born Again in the Q2 2024 window, which means it’s apparently moved back from its original early 2024 due date.

Previously, we learned that Echo was facing some hold-ups which would push it from late 2023 into the first quarter of 2024, so the news that it’s forced Daredevil back as well shouldn’t come as a big surprise. Given Maya Lopez’s connection to Kingpin, it’s long been assumed that both Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox will appear in Echo, making it something of a Born Again prelude. So if Echo‘s delayed, it follows that DD has to be too.

But, hey, that just means the fans have more time to get creative with their criticisms.
