Marjorie Taylor Greene is threatening Donald Trump publicly with a ‘revolution’. His next move might be the one that finally breaks MAGA

The polarization is alarming.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has openly warned of a political revolution in the United States if President Donald Trump decides to send American soldiers into Iran. The warning came on May 18, 2026, and it signals a serious split within the MAGA movement as tensions over the Iran conflict continue to grow.

The situation heated up on a Sunday afternoon when Greene posted on X to make her position clear. She wrote, “If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it.” She also added, “The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it,” and followed it up with, “End this war. It’s stupid.”

This public clash comes after a series of failed peace talks between the US and Iran. Trump recently posted on social media, warning, “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.” He had earlier rejected an Iranian proposal because it asked for separate nuclear talks, calling it totally unacceptable.

Greene’s frustration with Trump’s foreign policy has been building for months

Greene has opposed the war from the very start and has not held back her criticism of Trump. In an earlier interview with Megyn Kelly, she said, “I want to say, what is happening to the man that I supported, you supported, the man that denounced what happened in Iraq, the man that said ‘No more foreign wars,’ ‘No more regime change?'”

She also pointed out that the current direction goes against promises made during the campaign. Greene said, “Promised it on the campaign. JD Vance promised it. Tulsi Gabbard promised it, all of them promised it. And we’re a year in, a year in, and we’re in another f—ing war, and we’ve got American troops being killed.”

This is a notable shift for Greene, who was once one of Trump’s closest allies and supported claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. Since last year, though, she has pulled away from him on several key issues.

These include the decision to launch airstrikes on Iran last June, the administration’s support for Israel during the war in Gaza, and what she sees as a lack of action against big tech companies. Trump has also faced criticism on other fronts, including his repeated move to dismiss climate science as a hoax.

The US and Israel are reportedly preparing for the possibility of renewed fighting as a month-old ceasefire remains fragile. Reports suggest that Trump is sidelining his military advisors over Iran and waiting on Netanyahu instead, raising further concerns about how decisions are being made at the top. The fact that Greene is making these threats publicly shows that the unity within the MAGA movement is under serious strain.

It is a significant development to see such a high-profile figure turn against the administration so openly, and it raises real questions about how Trump will respond as pressure continues to build over the situation in Iran.
