Texas homeowner’s anti-Donald Trump signs are so wild, the internet is convinced he’s lost it completely

Dude’s full of hot takes.

A Texas homeowner named Eric Dubay has covered his house with signs that mix political opinions and conspiracy theories. Some of the signs read “Earth Is Flat,” “NASA Is a $69 Million Per Day Joke,” and “Trump aka Ketchup Ear Is a Zionist.” Photos of the house were shared on the Reddit forum r/pics, and people online quickly started reacting to what they saw.

The reactions were not kind. One Redditor pointed out, “This person is eligible to vote btw,” while another simply said, “This is literal mental illness.” The user who originally shared the photos, ComplexBreakfast, also seemed to find the signs troubling rather than funny.

According to The Nerdstash, it is not just the house that is covered in these messages. Dubay’s truck also carries similar statements, making it clear these are deeply held views and not just a one-time display.

Dubay’s views go far beyond just criticizing Trump and touch on dangerous territory

Some online commenters tried to explain where Dubay’s views come from. “They’re your typical maga nut jobs but with the recent spin of Trump is being manipulated by ‘ze jews’ so now he’s part of the illuminati,” one commenter wrote.

Another added, “They haven’t stopped being MAGA, they just think Trump is compromised. This person wants a new, worse version.” Trump has been at the center of many controversies lately, including his recent failed peace deal that triggered renewed Iran attacks.

Beyond his views on Trump, Dubay’s personal website shows he calls himself a “Flat Earth Guy.” His website also includes a page on “Zionism,” which contains the line: “Unlike the demonic portrait that history has painted of him, Hitler was beloved by his people and he wanted nothing but peace.” This statement has been widely condemned.

One person online joked, “Great way to keep people away from your house, I guess,” but most reactions were more serious, with people expressing concern about the kind of thinking on display.

The situation has sparked a wider conversation about conspiracy theories and how they spread. While Dubay has every right to express his opinions, many people online were troubled by the content of those opinions, particularly the statements that appear to defend Adolf Hitler. Trump’s inner circle has also been facing turbulence, with Pam Bondi being fired and then diagnosed with cancer in what became a very difficult week for her.

Free speech allows people like Dubay to put up signs and run websites sharing their views, but it also means others are free to criticize and push back against those views, which is exactly what happened when his photos went viral online.
