Summer is one of the best times to be out in nature, soaking up the sun and scenery, but it’s also one of the most exciting times to be at the movies. Through the months of May, June, July and August, Hollywood’s biggest studios pull out all the stops week after week to deliver some of the year’s most spectacular, enjoyable popcorn flicks.

This summer, moviegoers will be treated to a wide range of films. We’ve got more rabidly anticipated sequels than you can shake a stick at, big studio comedies that seem all but destined to become breakout hits, some horror films that will keep even seasoned fans of the genre shaking in their seats, and even the return of classic monster Godzilla. There are also some smaller-budget movies waiting in the wings, from buzzy biopics to Kickstarter-assisted dramedies. Make no doubt about it, it’s going to be a very busy summer.
