See More Of Wally West In First Clip From The Flash’s Midseason Premiere

The CW has released the first clip from the midseason premiere of The Flash, and while it's fairly brief, it does at least give us an idea of the kind of dynamic we should expect to see between Joe West and his newly discovered son Wally. Played by Keiynan Lonsdale, the comic book version of the character held the mantle of The Flash for over two decades, but it's not yet clear what kind of role he'll play in the CW series.

For the time being, the character building a relationship with his father and sister will no doubt be the focus, and it’s going to be very interesting to see how that plays out. Based on the clip above, it definitely seems as if there’s some tension between Joe and Wally, and if the character is set to become a speedster, it probably isn’t going to be until season three.

For more information, here’s the synopsis for next Tuesday’s episode (titled “Potential Energy”).

JOE AND IRIS GET TO KNOW WALLY — Now that they’ve grown closer, Barry (Grant Gustin) considers telling Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) that he is The Flash. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) try to get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller.

Tell us, what are you most looking forward to seeing when The Flash returns to The CW? This definitely looks set to be a strong way to kick off the second half of this season, so don’t worry if you can’t choose just one thing.
