You can’t have failed to notice that reviews for the latest installment in the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse, have been incredibly polarized. Unlike the previous three entries in the series (including Deadpool), this film is not receiving universal praise. Instead, it’s coming under criticism for emphasizing a bigger scale at the expense of such trifling matters as characterization and plot development.
However, notice how we said “polarized” rather than outright negative. While a lot of people aren’t fans of the film, many are also of the opinion that it’s still an enjoyable ride. It might be the weakest of the First Class trilogy and be so full of plot holes that you could call it a sieve, but that doesn’t mean it’s wholly terrible. In fact, some moments are actually downright amazing, and here, we’ve listed 10 of our favorites.
