It wasn’t perfect, but for the most part, the first season of Legends of Tomorrow exceeded expectations. Going on a trip through time with characters like Rip Hunter, The Atom, and Hawkgirl proved to be a lot of fun, while The CW giving the Arrow/The Flash spinoff plenty of money to play with ensured that it always impressed visually.

Like many time travel stories, the series did occasionally ask for a few too many logic leaps, but that’s nitpicking, and the show has definitely established itself as a worthy addition to the DC TV Universe – which kicked off with Arrow way back when and continues to grow with the addition of Supergirl.

Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait until season 2 hits the network. Set to premiere this Fall, there’s a lot to be excited for when Legends of Tomorrow returns thanks to some major new casting additions, a shaken up status quo, and a cliffhanger which pointed to the introduction of a major superhero team last seen in live-action in Smallville.
