As has been talked about before, the trailer paints the movie as very much a high school-set, coming-of-age tale. The footage seen is split pretty much equally between Peter’s time at high school or his problems hiding his secret from his friends and his life as a superhero and his interactions with a certain member of the Avengers. At last, this looks to be a Spider-Man movie that correctly casts him not as the lone hero protecting his city but the underdog who we love thanks to his very grounded story.

Fans will no doubt have noticed that there are lots of juicy details hidden in the trailer, including some shocking reveals that we weren’t expecting. While it doesn’t give away too much, here are 8 key things we learnt from our first look at Spider-Man: Homecoming.
